Jesus Christ came into Jerusalem in triumph

The week before He was crucified, Jesus Christ came into Jerusalem in triumph. “The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!”

Jesus Christ is truly worthy to be worshipped as King. He alone is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus came down from heaven to teach us; to love us; and most of all to die for our sins. He went into Jerusalem even though He knew that it would cost Him His life.

But the week before He died, the crowds of people praised Him and worshipped Him. Many people went out to meet Him. His enemies said, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”

Some day, Jesus Christ will return to this earth; and when He does, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Until then, we have the choice and the chance to worship Him ourselves as our King and Lord and God and Savior!
