EMMANUEL
Are you going through troubles? Are you afraid? God does not promise us a trouble-free life. In this life here on earth, problems may come. But God does promise us that, if we have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, He will be with us always. His presence will be there to lead us and to guide us. The Holy Spirit lives within us.
“God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” You can ask God to give you courage in the face of fear. Do not focus on the problems of life. Focus on God; praise and trust Him; and He can give you peace in your heart. Give your troubles to Jesus Christ. Ask forgiveness for any sins you have committed. Ask God to lead you and guide you and show you how He wants you to live.
You do not need to be afraid. Some day as Christians we will live with God for all eternity. Now, here on earth, let us serve Christ and ask God to use us to help change the world for Him. For Jesus said “I am with you always, even to the end of the earth.” You can trust in God

What does it mean to trust God?
What do you do? You look up at your father your daddy who is standing big and tall and strong beside you, and you put up your hand and take his hand. And now, you are not afraid and you can walk across the bridge safe and secure.
It is much the same way with God. There are many streams in life; and many storms; and many dangers and temptations. But God our heavenly Father stands with us when we ask Him to and we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. You can put up your hand to God, not physically but spiritually, and He will take your hand and keep you safe. You can trust in God and believe in Him and in His goodness to you.
So, this week, let us pray and ask God to
*
Help us to trust Him more
*
Provide for all of us- you and each of us- finances and safety and peace

Knowledge Of Good and Evil
God placed two fruit trees in the garden. One bestowed eternal life, the other the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2 v 9).
Adam and Eve (the woman) were forbidden from eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. As Adam must already have been aware of a distinction between right and wrong. God used the tree as an ethical test. Induced by the serpent, Eve persuaded Adam to eat the fruit which God had forbidden him and the couple were banished from the garden.
Adam means mankind (Romans 5 v 12). Adam by sinning set in motion a chain reaction of sin and its consequence, death. This is why every human being has the seed of sin living in him (Roman 7 v 17). Adam’s sin affects all human beings.
Human beings are descendants of Adam and Eve. The human race has a history and a beginning and the history from the beginning is marked by sin. The Bible says all mankind is now included in the guilt and condemnation of Adam (Romans 5 v 18-19). We commit sin because we are born sinners. “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me”. We are born sinners because we inherited sinful nature from Adam and Eve, the parents of all mankind.
Many people think that if we don’t commit or do some things we know as sin are not sinners. But who does not commit sin? What child ever has to be taught to tell lies? The truth is that all people are born sinners. We are inclined to sin from time to time. “There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins” (Ecclesiastes 7 v 20).
Some people say that they are good. However, they forget that we inherited the knowledge of good and evil from Adam and Eve, so no matter how good you are, you are still a sinful person (evil).
God wants every man to accept Jesus so as to become good and righteous. “For Christ died once for our sins, the righteous one for the unrighteous, to bring us to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in Spirit”(1 Peter 3 v 18). God is looking for people who desire to be righteous, that is, people who are morally good and just. It is only through Jesus Christ you can be good and righteous in the sight of God.
But if you don’t accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you will always be evil in your good because you can’t ever be totally good without Christ. There will always be evil in you and you will always be evil no matter how much you try to be good. Because of that evil (sin), you will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Our goodness is not equal to and not same as God’s righteousness. Certainly, living good is not wrong. It should be what each of us strives to do, but there is evil in man (Romans 7 v 17). In the Bible, there was a man named Cornelius. He was good but was still evil (sinful) like every other man. Because of his goodness God wanted him to make heaven. God sent an angel to tell Cornelius to send for Peter the apostle to tell him how he would be righteous through Jesus Christ.
Peter preached to Cornelius about God’s offer of salvation and righteousness through Jesus Christ. Cornelius and his household accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Because of that God gave them the Holy Spirit and they became good and righteous in the sight of God (Acts 10).
Many religions that are considered great do not have solution to sin and that is why their adherents are still evil no matter how much good they know and want to do. Cornelius was religious and could be described as good, but he was still bad therefore he was made righteous by God through the Holy Spirit. In fact, salvation is not based upon individual good deeds alone. All who reject God’s offer of Salvation and His righteousness will be confronted with His judgment – they will spend eternity in hell which is the lake of burning sulphur (Revelation 20 v 10).Those who reject God’s offer of Salvation will not satisfy God’s standard for Salvation, no matter what they do.
Sin Steals, Kills and Destroys
Sin destroys the physical body (sickness) and steals man’s blessings (money, peace, joy, etc) while on earth. It may kill prematurely and will certainly, destroy the soul in hell after death on earth.
God has revealed to medical scientists many things that ruin the health. Some of them are bitterness, unforgiveness, envy, worry, anger and jealousy (Galatians 5 v 19-21). These are sins and they are the main causes of many serious physical ailments such as high blood pressure, stroke, heart problems, circulatory diseases, asthma, stomach ulcers, and chronic headache.
All these sickness are emotional and whoever wants to be healed of them need to give up the sins that cause them. However, because sin lives in man (Romans 7 v 17), you need to have power over sin to give it up. The only power that can do this is in the Holy Spirit given by God to believers through Christ Jesus.
My life gives a clear evidence of this. In my earlier days I had unforgiveness, bitterness, envy, jealousy, worry, fear, anxiety, and so on. But I changed when I became a Christian through the Holy Spirit given to me by God through Jesus Christ (John 1 v 13).
I have been able to overcome them. But sometimes when thoughts of fear, worry, anger, anxiety and others come to my mind, I take necessary action as the Bible directs me, “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10 v 5). Based on that, I speak to those evil thoughts “I cast you out, spirit of worry (or whatever it is) in the name of Jesus Christ”. After that, the thought will go and peace will come into my mind because my Lord, Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9 v 6). True to His character, Jesus says, “Peace I give you; I do not give to you as world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14 v 27).
The purpose of this testimony is to help you avoid as well as be healed of emotional diseases. It treats the root of the problem.
On the other hand, medical drugs only manage emotional diseases. Complete and effective cure come from giving up sins (worry, anger and so on). This is why you need to accept and obey Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (you can’t give up sin without Jesus – no other person or way can do it for you). However, if you have given your life to Christ Jesus, you need to obey His teachings (John 8 v 31) so that the Holy Spirit and the name of Jesus Christ can achieve the purpose of Gods in your life.

Only One True God
What does this mean? It means we should worship the one and only true God as our supreme Lord and we should worship nothing else before God. No other god is more important than God. Money is not more important than God. Success is not more important than God.
You can have only one god and that should be the one true God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the maker of heaven and earth. Do not bow down to any idols. Do not let yourself think that anything on earth or in heaven is more important than God. God loves you and He wants to bless your life; He forgives all your sins in Jesus Christ when you accept Christ as your savior. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.

FAITH
God’s Word the Bible is the basis for our faith. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” If God said it, you can believe it. When Adam and Eve were tempted in the garden, the first temptation was “Has God really said...?” The answer to that temptation needs to be “YES GOD HAS SAID.”
We need to seek God and read His Word and learn His will for our lives. Then we need to ask Him to help us have faith. Are you sick? Then pray in faith and ask God to heal you. God may use doctors or medicine, but pray for His healing. Is your child away from God? Ask God to bring your child to Him. You may need patience in faith. Abraham was the “father of faith” in the Bible; he had faith but he waited for many years for the promise. God may answer your prayers right away, or He may ask you to have faith for a while. And God knows what is best, so realize you need to pray always in submission to His will.
When Jesus was tempted, He spoke “It is written” and He quoted the Bible. You and I have the power of the Word of God available to us. So let us take up the shield of faith and the sword of the Word of God, and walk in the love of Jesus Christ. We do not war against people; the way of Christ is love. But we do need to stand strong in faith and trust God that if we pray according to His will, we know that we have the requests that we ask of Him.

Love Of God
How can you share God's love and forgiveness with others? You can ask God to give you His love for others. Maybe there is someone who has wronged you or hurt you, and you have a right to be angry with them. God sends His rain on the just and the unjust. Ask Him to give you love for this person, even though they have hurt you. As God has forgiven you, you can forgive them. Ask God to help you release your anger and hurt and to pray for blessing even on your enemies.
We may feel we do not deserve God's love, and that is true -- we are sinners and we deserve to be punished by God. But God in His great love and mercy is willing to extend His forgiveness to us -- to call us His sons and daughters. Heaven will be a wonderful place. God's love and mercy and forgiveness will reign; and we as Christians will be full of His love and mercy to others. Let's ask God to help us show His love and forgiveness right here, right now on earth.

HOW DO WE KNOW GOD'S WILL
Here are 4 ways God communicates His will to us.
1. God's Word the Bible. As you read the Bible, particularly the New Testament which starts with the book of Matthew, you can learn about God's will for your life. God's plan for your life will never contradict His Word.
2. The peace of God in your heart. God will lead you and guide you by His Holy Spirit. As you get to know God more and more, He will lead you and guide you by His still quiet voice in your heart.
3. Counsel of others. Do you know godly Christians who can give you good advice? While not all advice is from God, and people sometime disagree, your pastor or other godly Christians can often be used by God to help you learn God's will.
4. Circumstances. Sometimes God can speak to you through circumstances; if you pray He can open doors in your life and close other doors.
While it is not always possible to find out God's will through one of these ways, if you pray and ask God He will reveal His will to you. On major decisions, you can look for these 4 ways to line up in your life like a sign pointing you to God's will.

Faith
We are to believe in God and in His Son Jesus Christ. It is through faith that we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We can choose to believe God and to believe the Bible.
We can build our faith through reading the Bible. "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God". You can express your faith by speaking confidently about God and what He has don on your life, and by acting on what God says in the Bible.
God loves you. It is important that we believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. God sent His Son Jesus Christ so you and I could be forgiven and have the gift of eternal life when we believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Savior and Lord

King of King
Jesus is Lord. The Bible says Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
What does this mean? To be the Lord is to be master; King; to be the one with ultimate authority; to be the one in charge. When Jesus Christ came to this earth 2,000 years ago, He came as a humble carpenter. He lived His life in Israel and for a brief time in Egypt. He was not rich in earthly goods. He was crucified on a cross along with common criminals.
But when Jesus Christ comes back to this earth in the future, He will come riding on a white horse from the clouds of heaven. He is the one and only Son of God who has been seated at the right hand of God His Father. Every knee will bow to Him, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Everyone on earth will know that Jesus Christ is Lord. All glory and power and honor will be given to Him.
So the choice is ours today. Will we ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior today? Will we bow before Him as Lord? Will we ask Him to rule our lives? Will we submit our wills, our selfishness, our stubbornness to Him? Or will we, someday in the future, wish that we had asked Him to be our Savior and Lord when we still had time? So, this day, let us truly submit to Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
Let us pray to God that
*
Each of us will truly acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord in our lives
*
The whole earth will come to know Christ as Savior and Lord
*
God will protect our staff at Global Media Outreach and provide for us and give us wisdom to reach even more people for Christ
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Can we pray for you? If you have a prayer request, just hit “reply” to this email and send us an email and someone will pray for you personally.

Go Yee
Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Jesus said Go!
What does this mean? It means we are to move out of our comfort zone — we are to take action — we are to speak the truth in love. It means we are to tell other people about the wonderful news that Jesus Christ came to save them!
God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but would have everlasting life. The problem is that all of us have sinned; we need someone to tell us the good news that Christ died for our sins.
You and I have the awesome privilege of being God’s ambassadors to tell the world about Jesus Christ. You can start by praying for someone and you can ask God for His wisdom as to how to proceed. But when Jesus said “Go” He meant that we shouldn’t just wait for the world to come to us — we should go and tell people about Jesus Christ.
So, this week, let us pray that God will
*
Help us to be bold and tell at least one person about Jesus Christ
*
Help us at Global Media Outreach reach even more people for Jesus Christ by providing additional funding
*
Protect and watch over our volunteers and staff at Global Media Outreach
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. We would love to pray for you. If you just hit “reply” to this letter, you can email us and give us your prayer requests and someone will pray for you.
May God bless you.
HOPE IN GOD
What does hope mean? The dictionary says to hope is "to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence; to believe, desire, or trust."
Without God, our hopes may be in vain. With God, we know that if we have truly accepted Christ as Savior and Lord we will have eternal life in heaven. Our sins are forgiven. God will protect and watch over us as we trust in Him. He will provide for us and care for our needs. God loves us and has a wonderful plan for our lives.
We can trust God for good things for our families and loved ones. Even when difficulties come, God will see us through them and will care for us and protect us. We can have joy in God's Holy Spirit. We may not know exactly what will happen in the future, but we know God will be with us in this life and in the next.
An old song says "Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness." We are protected and loved and cared for by God not because of our own goodness but because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins. To God be all the praise and glory! God loves you and He will protect and care for you and lead you and guide you.
So, this week, let us pray that
*
God will give you joy and hope for a wonderful future in His great love
*
God will provide financially for our ministry at Global Media Outreach and protect us so we can reach even more people for Jesus Christ
*
The whole world will know that Jesus Christ can give eternal life and hope for the future
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Please let us know if we can pray for you; just hit "Reply" to this email and send us your prayer request. One of our volunteers will pray for you and for your needs. It is our privilege to be prayer partners with you.
May God bless you.

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR
To love your neighbor as yourself means to act and think toward your neighbor in such a way that brings about their highest good. The Bible says we are to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." In other words, how would you like to be treated? Treat others that same way.
Would you like to be forgiven? Forgive others. Would you like to be treated with kindness and love? Treat others with kindness and love. Would you like to have others be patient with you? Be patient with them.
God's love is unconditional. He loves sinners (all of us have sinned) and He makes His sun to shine on the just and the unjust. So think of someone you can bless. Don't love only your family, or those who love you. Jesus taught us to love even our enemies, for then we would be children of our Father who is in heaven.
God loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. Let us ask God to give us His love for everyone around us.
HOLY SPIRIT
Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is God Himself. We talk about the Trinity; God is God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God Himself, here on earth, living in the lives of true believers in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter; He comes alongside us and helps us in our weakness.
The Holy Spirit gives us power to live a victorious Christian life. The Holy Spirit does this by coming and living in our lives. Christianity is not just a bunch of rules we are to obey; it is the living Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit living in our lives each and every day when we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord.
So I encourage you — ask the Holy Spirit today to fill and control you and empower you. After Pentecost Sunday, the disciples had the power and the boldness to go and proclaim everywhere that Jesus Christ had risen from the dead. That same power of the Holy Spirit can live in you and me today

What is Love.
What does it mean to love God? The ancient Greeks had three words for love — agape, philio, and eros. Agape meant to love someone purely; to wish them the highest good; to always act in a manner that is best for someone; to love with no conditions. This is the way we are to love God.
How can we love God? We can give Him our hearts and our lives. We can think of what will please Him. We can tell Him we love Him. We can listen to Him and pay attention to Him. We can honor His Son Jesus Christ. We can sing worship and praise songs to God. We can love members of His family and love those who He loves — which is everyone!
When you truly love someone, you want what is best for them. God’s will is that no-one will perish, but that all will come to have eternal life. So one way to love God is to reach out to others in the love of Jesus Christ.

SPREAD IT
Love can be spread to heal and save rather than to kill like diseases.
Love is a healing balm, a form of physical therapy that if administered, many live would be saved. Love can be demonstrated in many ways but the greatest of it is in giving. Giving is so profound that you can give without loving but you cannot love without giving. Today is boxing day; not a day to fight everybody around you but to show love to other. Give to the needy and help the helpless.
Giving is the central theme of love. Even God demonstrated His love through giving; He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to take away the sin of the world so that we will not perish. The deeper you love, the costlier the gift you give. When people complain that no one loves them, I let them know that they too need to show love to people because the law that guides love is reciprocity. It is what you sow that you will reap. The seed you refuse to sow will not produce the harvest you need.
As the year is running to an end, list out a few people that are very important to you. Everyone is important but not everyone is important to you. List out the ones that have touched and are still touching your life and pray for then fervently. Pray for then to have a major breakthrough in the coming year and that no misfortune should befall them.
However, prayer only is not enough, also send them gifts. There is no better time than now to show love to those that are dear to you.

He is a True Friend
Jesus Christ is truth. What is truth? It is something that is actually real; it is the way things actually are; there is no falsehood or deception.
Unfortunately we live our lives sometimes believing lies, about ourselves and the world around us. When Jesus Christ came into the world, He brought truth to this earth. He said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.” You can 100% trust God because God Himself is truth; in Him there is no lie. Jesus said many times to His disciples, “I tell you the truth.”
Falsehood and lies are the opposite of truth. The devil is a liar. The devil may tell you, “God doesn’t love you. You can’t be forgiven. You aren’t worth anything.” But God says the truth to you — He says to you things like, “I love you. You can be forgiven. You are worth so much that I sent My Son to die for you. You can have the gift of eternal life by accepting Christ as Savior and Lord.”
You and I are to be vessels of God’s truth to others. The Bible says we are to “speak the truth in love.” Don’t be harsh or unkind when you speak truth to someone; speak it gently and in love. But as we receive God’s truth and as we speak His truth to others, the world will be a better place. Let us walk in God’s truth each and every day. Jesus Christ is God’s truth in our lives.
So, this week, let us pray and ask God to
-
Help us to always tell the truth
-
Pour out His Holy Spirit all over the world, that people everywhere would come to know Christ
-
Give us His wisdom and protection as we seek to make disciples of all nations and help people grow in Christ

He is Risen
Jesus Christ is victorious over sin, and death, and hell. He took the penalty for our sins when He died on the cross, and for three days it looked like death had won.
But then, on Sunday which we now celebrate as Easter Sunday, His disciples came to the tomb where He had been buried — and He was gone! An angel met them there and said, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!” Death could not hold Jesus; the grave had no power over Him.
And even as God raised Jesus from the dead, so too we can have newness of life in Jesus Christ. Our sinful selves have been crucified with Christ; He has paid the penalty for our sins. Now we too can rise in newness of life with Jesus Christ our victorious Lord living in our lives.
The early Christians would greet each other with these words: “He is risen!” And the other person would respond, “He is risen indeed!” Let us worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; for He is truly risen from the dead.
So, this week, let us pray and
* Thank God that Jesus Christ rose from the dead
* Thank God that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins and mine
* Ask God to help us reach the whole world with the message of His love
He is risen!
May God bless you,
New life in Christ
The Bible says to "put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." God has given us power to live new lives.
When we truly accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord,
Our sins are forgiven
God gives us the power to be filled with His Holy Spirit
Our names are written down in heaven
We can overcome sin and death because of Christ's death for us
We can live in newness of life, no longer weighed down by our past
God loves you so much that He gave His Son Jesus Christ for you. You can live a victorious life in the wonderful life-changing power of God's Holy Spirit.
So, this week, let us pray that
* God will help us make disciples of all nations
* God will help you live above your circumstances in the power of His Holy Spirit
* God will bring blessing and protection to our staff and volunteers
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. God can use your prayers greatly to bring change to people and to nations.
